Broach

De boot gaat in een broach wanneer de druk in de zeilen te groot wordt en de boot platslaat. De mast raakt dan bijna het water en de boot loopt uit het roer. Reven helpt vaak om het broachen tegen te gaan.

   I fully agree with you on almost all of these. I digasree slightly with 5 & 8 though. I try to work at restaurants I can’t afford to eat at. I go in with background knowledge, recommendations, and having read every review available. I will have a great answer for why I want to work there, but my last three jobs were at restaurants I had not dined at before working there.I also think that the money conversation is valid in the first interview. I think this is even more necessary for experienced servers. My cover letter is agressive and makes clear that I have a number of accomplishments. This has also intimidated many employers. My current employer admited after I had been working there a while that he didn’t think there was a chance that I would take the job. He assumed I would be looking to make much more money than I was. Clarifying my expectations on income reduced the idea that I was overqualified. It also prevented both of us from investing time in training for a position that would not be held long.
